REMEMBERING THE LEGENDARY SASA KLAAS

In a world where hip hop’s throne is continually contested by males, female rappers have more than held their own, standing their ground and igniting the scene with fierce competition.

They are heavy hitters, rising stars, and some are audacious newcomers.

Female rap artists are slaying the game, spitting hot bars, and shaking things up in ways we never saw coming.

The late Sasa Klaas was exactly that.

She was a rhyming powerhouse who could dismantle any beat with her smooth flows and charm.

Just like Nicki Minaj, Sasa Klaas was a queen who continued to command the rap realm with a natural, undeniable authority that’s all her own.

Mrs Hip-Hop was dynamite artist who was known for her kaleidoscopic styles and whimsical lyrical tales.

She made her debut with her hit single Mma Mongwato.

Sasa Klaas' career took off with A Ke Mo Khande a collaboration with Scar.

Some of her other songs are Playing with Myself, You, The Best Things, Vapors, Bafana ba style and Mosoroto.

Soon after in 2011 she became a presenter of The Foundation: Next Level from 2011 to 2012 on e.tv Botswana.

Her first solo single, Hadsan, was released.

Sasa Klaas died on 5 March 2021 around 7pm at age of 27 in a R44 helicopter crash in Xumabee Game Ranch (near Sojwe).
