EFF at KaMhlushwa township, Ward 22 in Nkomazi. Today the municipality was doing road maintenance in the area and Nkomazi Local Municipality employees under roads were caught selling Premixed ASPHALT to a Pakistani shop for R1000 to fix the entrance to the shop while the whole of KaMhlushwa road is unusable due to potholes.
The municipality buys this material with taxpayers’s money for the purpose of fixing and maintaining roads across Nkomazi but it is now used for business by corrupt officials of Nkomazi local municipality.
The Pakistan has agreed when asked that he paid R1000 for that material to be given to him and they used workers and the equipment of the municipality to install it.
